What the mainstream GOP did to Chris McDaniel, what they did to the citizens of Mississippi should not and likely will not soon be forgotten. Disgraceful is an understatement. Driven by greed and the systems defense of crony capitalism and the protected insular club of elites in Washington, the subversion of the primary election between McDaniel and the wizened, anachronistic and corrupt Thad Cochran, I am afraid is simply a minor precursor to the massive fraud and election abuses that the American people will be subjected to during the upcoming elections in November. With a Department of Justice that has all put placed a sign on its massive doors in DC saying “Cheat all Ye that can! Subvert even the modest amount of democracy America has left in its veins and herd the imbecile sheep, once again, back into the pen of corruption, statism and fascist crony capitalism and justice will be blind.”
The precinct level returns in Hinds County bolster the theory that a surge in black, Democratic turnout allowed Senator Thad Cochran to defeat Chris McDaniel, a Tea Party-backed state senator, in last month’s Republican primary runoff in Mississippi.
Mr. Cochran won by 6,693 votes. More than half — a net 3,532 votes — came from the most Democratic precincts in Jackson’s Hinds County, where President Obama won a combined 97.8 percent of the vote in 2012, according to figures released Tuesday night by the Mississippi secretary of state.
The surge in turnout was clearest in overwhelmingly black precincts; turnout sometimes increased by more than 3,000 percent over the initial Republican primary.
In Hinds County’s 25 most heavily Democratic precincts, where Mr. Obama won a combined 99.3 percent of the vote, Mr. Cochran picked up a net 1,414 votes, representing about a fifth of Mr. Cochran’s statewide margin of victory and dwarfing the 121 votes won by Mitt Romney in the same precincts in 2012.
