In the chaos of the collapse of the American Empire it is easy to lose track of the extraordinary number of disturbing events that pop up out of the quantum vacuum. Like the stars that become visible when storm clouds dissipate from the night sky, slowly at first, almost one at a time, then more until the universe is revealed in a dizzying display of the infinite we can become so overwhelmed that our brains, which can only process around seven unique objects at any one instant of observation, force us to focus on the finite, perhaps the brightest star at that moment burning overhead.
So to we move from one crisis to the next, with the bright lights of media cameras as our misguided ushers, and so easily lose sight of the total image, in this case the domestic and global tectonic shifts that are occurring and setting off minor earthquakes all around us, the warning signs of bigger events yet to come. As I have mentioned in the past, truisms are considered truisms because they tend to be true or at least contain more truthiness than falsity. A truism that comes to mind here is “it is easy to lose the forest in the trees.”
Ferguson, is like the Mississippi river, it has so many tributaries and subsequent sandbars forming and a delta basin that is constantly being reformed over time. The causes of the events leading up to the shooting of Michael Brown, the subsequent riots, policing mistakes and the national media, in fact global, over focus on the week of Ferguson will likely die down as rapidly as they flared up on us this August.
It did not lead to a national conflagration and though all of the issues simmering under the bright lights of the international attention remain, little will be done about it. There are too many earth tremors disrupting our lives now for us to stay remotely focused.
The gruesome beheading of an American journalist. The clear US/Nato inspired provocation of Russia by the Ukraine to entice them to war. The economic failure of Europe and the masked, financial market 1% jubilation of the American “recovery” and “expansion”, whose life span can only, at this point, be described as limited. And then, let us not forget, though most of us have, that the summer months always, always leads to a significant drop in illegals crossing the nation’s southern borders. As summer ends, so to will the ignorantly heralded decline in the planned chaos of this “unanticipated”, “humanitarian” bleeding invasion of America by the Obama administration, the corporations who benefit from continued cheap labor and the liberal fascists that rule us all.
The list is truncated, for it in reality it is like the stars at night, becoming almost infinite. Hopefully this is the last on Ferguson, unless it isn’t. Most of you may have already seen these, but what the hell, as Winston Churchill called them, I am suffering one of my “black dog” days. ( Churchill was a racist, I am not, but he was not being so with this phrase!)
Star Witness In Michael Brown Shooting Charged With Theft, Filing False Police Report
Brian Johnson, the primary witness to the shooting of Michael Brown in Ferguson, has an outstanding warrant for a 2011 theft in Jefferson City and pleaded guilty for filing a false police report related to that theft.
St. Louis ABC affiliate ABC 17 cross referenced Johnson’s name against several records and discovered the warrant.
Johnson will be the star witness for any potential prosecution proceedings against Officer Darren Wilson for the shooting of Brown. Johnson was walking with Brown when the shooting occurred.
He has already done multiple media appearances where he falsely claimed Brown was shot by Wilson in the back. He also has claimed that Brown never reached for Wilson’s gun, was “shot like an animal” and that Brown had his hands up and told Wilson he was unarmed.
Johnson’s claims helped inspire the protests and riots in Ferguson over the past 10 days, as well as the “Hands up, don’t shoot” rallying cry of the protesters and their supporters.
It’s apparently official.
America is no longer governed by the Rule of Law, but by political intrigue and media hype.
Rioters in Ferguson, Missouri, are pulling the strings which may, in fact, ensnare an innocent police officer, who encountered a 6′ 4″ 290 pound marijuana-laced young man, who minutes before had assaulted and robbed a convenience store worker. Not many outside the NFL could defend effectively against that size person.
The governor of Missouri, a Democrat, made a video statement apparently pushing for – “…prosecuting…” the police officer, even though the facts are not yet known. This pleases the black population, who use riots and violence to demand no violence be done to them under any circumstances.
Black “leaders,” Democrats — really men who make their living shaking down opponents while riling up the Democratic vote – were on scene sympathizing.
Of course this young man, the friend of the “gentle giant” should be charged with incitement to riot and involuntary manslaughter for the deaths that resulted from his false comments. But, justice is not, of course, blind.
Dorian Johnson describes the shooting:
In contrast, the police report said Brown pushed the officer into his squad car, assaulted him and struggled to get the officer’s weapon. A shot was fired in the car before the struggle moved to the street, where the officer fired his gun multiple times as Brown rushed toward him.
